The Food Equity Collaborative
The Food Equity Collaborative is a 501c3 non-profit based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It was started in 2024 by UNC nutrition professor Dr. Alice Ammerman.
Food Equity Collaborative was created as an extension of Equiti Foods LLC, the maker of Good Bowls. FEC works to extend and expand the mission of Equiti Foods of supporting the local food system and ensuring everyone has access to healthy food.
FEC works in the non-profit space, partnering with foundations, organizations and individuals to not only provide healthy meals to underserved communities, but also to form lasting partnerships with local farmers and producers, offer educational opportunities to the community, and be a healthy food resource for everyone.
